NHSS 12AB for static temporary traffic management on Motorway & Highspeed dual carriageways
NHSS Temporary Traffic Management Basic Course ( TTMBC )
For all persons starting work for the first time in the temporary traffic management industry,
and for those persons that do not hold any current NHSS12A/B/C/D registration cards or
certificates.
This course will introduce you to:
- QA and NHSS 12
- Terminology
- Health and Safety
- Equipment
- Safety Zones
- Basic Principles of Temporary Traffic
- Management and Site Practice
- Maintaining a closure.
NHSS 12AB General Operative Training (Classroom)
After completing the TTMBC and gaining a minimum of 3 months 'On the Job' experience you’re ready to sit your 12AB 1 day classroom course
NHSS 12AB General Operative Training (Assessments)
After completing your 12AB 1day classroom and had relevant 'On the Job' experience you’re ready to start your 12AB assessments. You will have full operative status (fully carded) once you have completed a minimum of 3 live assessments (Subject to meeting all relevant criteria and a minimum 2 week break between each assessment.)
NHSS 12D for installing and removing temporary traffic management on Rural and Urban roads
NHSS 12D T1T2 TRAINING COURSE
Anyone starting work for the first time in the traffic management industry and those that do not hold a current 12D T1T2 Certificate or 12D M1M2 card that’s about to expire would need to complete this 1 day classroom training to work on Rural & Urban roads
NHSS 12D M1/M2 ASSESSMENTS
After completing the NHSS 12D T1T2 Training course and gaining relevant 'On the Job' experience the learner can gain their full operative status 12D M1M2 after completing a minimum of 3 on site assessments (Subject to meeting all relevant criteria with a minimum 2 week break between assessments)
NHSS 12D M3 Static Works On Low Speed Dual Carriageways
To become a full status NHSS 12D M3 operative you will need to be registered NHSS 12D M1M2 and would need to complete a NHSS T3 1 day classroom training followed by a minimum of 3 on site assessments (subject to meeting all relevant criteria and a minimum 2 week break between assessments.)
NHSS 12D M4 Convoy Working
To become a full status NHSS 12D M4 operative you will need to be registered NHSS 12D M1M2 and would need to complete a NHSS T4 1 day classroom training followed by a minimum of 1 on site assessments (subject to meeting all relevant criteria)
NHSS 12D M5 Multi-Phase Traffic Signals
To become a full status NHSS 12D M5 operative you will need to be registered NHSS 12D M1M2 and would need to complete a NHSS T5 1 day classroom training followed by a minimum of 2 on site assessments (subject to meeting all relevant criteria and a minimum 2 weeks break between assessments.)
NHSS 12D M6 Registered Lead Traffic Management Operative (RLTMO) Training
To become a full status NHSS 12D M6 (RLTMO) you will need to be registered NHSS 12D M1M2 and would need to complete a 2 day classroom course covering ‘The Safety at Streetworks and Road Works’ A Code Of Practice (The Red Book) Revision of low speed dual Carriageways, Convoy Working and multiphase Signals.
